You’ll learn how to see, draw, simplify, design, experiment, and develop your own ideas.

The Deconstruction Lab is the foundation behind everything I teach on Loose On Purpose.

I’ve worked as a full-time artist for more than 18 years.
I was selected as the Official Artist of the 2012 Kentucky Derby, my artwork has appeared on CBS television, and I’ve created commissioned original artwork for Carnival Cruise Line.
But Planet Looseness isn’t built around credentials or perfect finished paintings.
It’s built around what actually happens in the studio: drawing, experimenting, making changes, solving problems, wrecking a few paintings, following unexpected ideas, and learning from every attempt.

Where should I begin? Start with course 1 and work down. Already draw well? Skip to course 2.
Is this only for advanced artists? No. It starts with drawing fundamentals. Experienced artists use it to break rigid habits.
What happens after I complete the Deconstruction Lab system? Keep going with The Coffee Cup Club. A new lesson is added every other week.
Are the Legacy Watercolor Archives included? No, they're sold separately. They're optional deep dives into one medium.
